If you have a serious interest in Gann and his trading methods, his numbered squares and wheels have no doubt peaked your curiosity. If you’ve gone a little further, you may have noticed that the square of 9, wheel of 24, and other numbered squares are all really different. Gann had others apart from what he displayed in the material he published.

Further, the square of 9 is different from all of them. We can’t tell you the reason here, but it has to do with Gann’s number system. Some of the techniques publicly taught work with certain numbered squares (6 sided, 4 sided, etc) on certain stocks and commodities some of the time. But not all. Again, there is a reason for this based in Gann’s number system. The trick is knowing Gann’s system so you can match the appropriate wheel or square and technique to the appropriate market instrument at the appropriate time…
